Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) “Designated Person” Training

The EPA requires K-12 schools to have a “Designated Person” responsible for the implementation and management of the school’s AHERA program. This six-hour course provides the training necessary to function as an AHERA Designated Person. Topics include: uses of asbestos in products, health effects, a summary of relevant regulations, a detailed review of the AHERA requirements for schools, an overview of asbestos removal procedures, and a summary of legal liability issues.
